Assalamualaikum all.

Firstly, yes the school holidays has ended for us the teachers because as far as I am concern, all teachers are having all sorts of meeting starting a week before school starts. So yeah, today was the third day of meeting for my school and it will be continued next Monday. Today, I want to share all the job scope of mine for the year 2012. I will put all my tasks that is written in the Teacher's Guide Book 2012 so that in 25 years later, I will looking back what I have done in the year 2012. Haha

Ok. All of these do not include the main thing that is teaching my subject. So for the first time in my teaching career, I will be given 5 classes, which means 25 period per week. The normal period for my school is 20 period. Hence, 25 is considered ENOURMOUS! We do not have enough English teachers, so that is what we called sacrifice. So, this is the details of my classes:

1 class = 30 students

1 student = 4 books = Essay + Literature + Grammar + Summary

So I have 5 classes, which means

5 classes x 30 students x 4 books = 600 books to be marked

Again, this does not include all side tasks like when we have a function like Hari Sukan Sekolah, Maulidurrasul, Hari Kokurikulum, Hari Koperasi dan Kerjaya and all those never ending days and events. So each time there is a function, we will be given a piece of paper containing our job on that particular event, which is different each time. For example, you will be given task to serve the VIPS ke, preparation of place or hall, managing students etc etc.

Well, I am not complaining, at all. I am just want to clarify being teacher is not that easy. It hurts to hear people say things like:

"hellooo.. cikgu je kottt. gaji da la besar gile. ni kerajaan nk tambah gaji lagi.naik pangkat lagi. pastu suruh keja 9 jam takmo pulak.keje separuh hari je. datang pagi. tengah hari balik tido"

Things like that sometimes hurt me, like seriously. Ok, memang ada la cikgu yang macam tu, you know yang datang sekolah wasting times, tak ngaja sepenuh hati, tak tanda buku, tak datang meeting, yang asyik facebook depan laptop. ada. tapi tak banyak. lagi ramai cikgu yang berhempas pulas melakukan sedaya yang mampu. duduk kat sekolah dari 7 pagi sampai 11 malam sampai nak dating pun tak sempat. nak tanda 600 buku lagi.ehehehehe

So, moral of the story, tak perlu la pertikaikan kerja cikgu senang. takde kerja dalam dunia ni yang senang. ko jadik students pun susah kan. banyak masalah. dah kerja lagi byk masalah. jadi surirumah tangga pun banyak masalah. semua terpulang pada kita macam mana kita handle masalah kita kan. semua kerja pun stress. ko duduk saje tak buat apa pun boleh stress kot. hehehe

orang-orang yang selalu kutuk kerja cikgu tu senang, meh la try jadik cikgu seminggu.

whatever it is, i love being a teacher. I love the feeling when the students kiss my hand each time after class. I love the feeling when they come to my car to help me carry things. I love the feeling when they bring me something when they went for holidays. I love the feeling when they say sorry after they have done something wrong. I just love the feeling when they get good results and say thanks to me. and the list just goes on and on

As I am typing this, Umi, Ambok, Yus and Faiq are currently visiting

the new member of the family in JB.

I just could not stop smiling and thinking about my new niece

Like I said in FB,

there is no word that could describe how extremely happy and grateful we are,

of this bundle of joy

Around 2.10 am this morning, Ica called me (she was downstairs)
and said
"Bik (my brother's nickname) suruh datang hospital teman Ammar.

Kak Suzy dah masuk labour room"
Half sleeping, rushed we off to Puteri Specialist and arrived around 2.45, just to find out that Kak Suzy had successfully delivered a beautiful baby girl around 2.30.

Kak Suzy's due date was 6th of September
but alhamdulillah this cute lil girl decided to come out earlier here in JB

so that we could visit her, instead of the plan to deliver in Bangi

Yet Another Story

I have no intention to humiliate people at all; I just want to write it here so that if one day I feel bad about my life, I will quickly open this up and read it again. It is just a reminder for my own self, to help me to feel grateful in each and every way. It is just a reminder that no matter how miserable my life is, it could be worse. I twisted some of the plot but the main point is there. Anyway, today was the Meeting with Parent’s day. Since my school is so called the best school in the district, the attendance of the parents is always 100%. I just want to a tip bit of it here:

A man at my grandfather’s age came with one my students. I have 20 students, and this was the last one to come. Everyone in the class has came with their parents. After they had seated, the man started the conversation.

The man : Assalamualaikum cikgu. Saya ni datuk Amin (bukan nama sebenar). Mak dia sibuk kerja

Me : owh waalaikumussalam pakcik. Takpe, siapa-siapa pun boleh datang pakcik. Asalkan ada wakil. Lagipun, Amin ni budak baik. Takda masalah. Pandai pulak tu. Ayahnya pun kerja jugak ke pakcik? (I have checked none of my students is an orphan, that was why I proceed with that question)

The man : Ayah dia dah lari. Tak tahu ke mana. Kira bercerai la dengan mak dia. Sekarang ni memang Amin ni duduk dengan pakcik dan isteri pakcik. Mak dia kerja kat JB. Seminggu,2 minggu baru balik jenguk anak-anak dia. Amin ni anak sulung, adik-adik dia sekolah rendah semua. Dia ok ke cikgu?

Me : (holding my tears and pretended to be okay) Maaf yer pakcik saya tanya tadi. Amin budak pandai, tak pernah bagi masalah kat mana-mana cikgu, ketua kelas lagi. Lepas tu dia kuat lari, memang wakil sekolah pergi sukan semua. Pakcik tak perlu risau pasal Amin ni

and then after a while, they went off, and I went to the toilet and blaming myself for asking that sensitive question and crying :’(

For some people, maybe this is nothing, but for me, it is like a lightning struck right through my head. I always like Amin for his maturity when dealing with stuff. He is different from other students in my class. They are all kids who love playing around and running in the class. Unlike them, Amin has something that makes him unique is his own way. Now, I know the reason why. It is because, he has encounter something a child at his age do not have to deal with. He has to take the responsibility of his younger siblings. He has to be role model so that his siblings can be as perfect as him. Excellent in class, and be the hero on the field. So, what say you people?

Assalamualaikum people

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the All Compassionate

My parents and I just came back from Kota Tinggi to pay our last respect to my brother's father in law, Pak Mat.

He died peacefully around 1.30 am this morning, without any illness. He was a healthy man.

It was not easy for me to see Kak Suzy's siblings and her mother cried over someone they loved so much, had actually gone and will never come back.

It was not easy for me as I could not even imagine what I would do if I were in their shoes.

People,

the period following death is actually the time to celebrate Allah's kindness.

It is actually the time to be thankful to Allah for the time the loved one was here on earth .

Elun doakan Akak dan keluarga terus tabah dan sabar. I know it was not that easy. Berat mata yang memandang, berat lagi bahu Akak yang memikul semua. We are all here for you, just don't forget that. Semoga arwah tergolong dalam golongan yang beriman insyaAllah

How I wish children go to school for the love of learning, rather than for scoring straight A’s in all examinations

How I wish teachers go to school for the love of sharing knowledge, rather than fighting for putting the school to be the number one in all examinations

How I wish all people take care of the nature for their children can see the beautifulness, rather than polluting and dirtying all the rivers, forest and sea

How I wish those politicians works for the sake of helping the fellow citizens, rather than for getting more money for their own family

How I wish all parents perform their duties to the family as khalifahs that guide the whole family to Jannah, rather than been too busy with endless tasks at the workplace, leaving the family in chaos

How I wish all rich people use their money to help those poor, rather than spending on useless things

How I wish all people work 8-4 and then go home and spending time with the family in the park, and having dinner together, praying in the mosque together, rather than, work 24-7 and miss all those precious time spent with the loved ones

How I wish all of us could be as simple as we can, rather than be complicated and sophisticated

How I wish all people in the world go to work for the sake of ibadah, rather than for getting more money

How I wish we are not that materialistic

First in 2011

Yeapo, as the title said,

this is the my first entry in 2011

life is getting busier

and yes could not be happier :)

at least that is what i feel when i am typing this

hehe

of course there are bad, sad, unhappy, envious and all those negative things through out the times

but hey

life is too short to feel that way

so just throw them away

and lead a happier life

Well, these are few latest updates

some things happened today

1. I almost hit a romantic couple of elderly on a motorcycle when I was trying to get out from a junction today . It was my bad. I looked at the right, and then at the left without realizing there was a motorcycle in front of me. All praises to Allah, because He saved me from the bad thing to happen. I said I was really really sorry to the pakcik and makcik. Thank God they are cool people and they said it was alright. With smiles, off they went away to continue their romantic ride.

2. One of my students wrote in her essay homework given during the holidays, saying she can’t wait to learn English with me again because I am cute and never get mad in the class. Haha. I know I know. Maybe she simply wrote that to get extra marks for the essay, but hey, still, I will take that as a compliment.

3. Owh ya, by the way, I am no longer a Mathematics teacher. Like I said to Asri, I was ‘kecik hati’ because now they are teaching Maths in Malay. That is why I moved to English Department so that I still can speak English every single day with my students. Haha. Actually, they lacked of English teachers. So, since I have spent 4 years of my life in the foreign country, they expect me to have a better English background, compared to the others. Well, yeah, I know I can speak a bit fluent, but it is not easy to teach a language subject. The closest example is, everyone can speak Malay right, but not everybody can teach Malay Language. There are Essay, Summary, Comprehension, Grammar and of course Literature. Where art thou? Ahahahha. Wish me luck. I am just hoping what I am doing can help them. I am having fun though. Watching cartoons, fill in the missing song lyrics and public speaking, those are things you can hardly do in the Maths class!

4. My beloved-10 years old-gift-from-Umi watch broken down yesterday. The apek in that shop said there was nothing could be done. It was a very good watch though, but it is the time to let go. ( Okay, I know I was a bit exagerating, hehe. but the apek said something like that) I think that was the only thing that stayed together with me through thick and thin for these 10 years. (well,boyfriends and friends are keep changing right? I mean during those times. LOL)

I have been wearing it since I was in Form 4. It was Umi's present actually. Since she was not using it, she actually gave me. Or maybe I was the one who asked for it. Hehe. Did not really remember about that. Then, I kept wearing it on my right hand until it broken down. Haih, so its time to get a new one is it? Is there anybody care to get me one? :(

5. 8 February 2011 was my Ummi's 55th birthday. So happy birthday Ummi. May you are getting better and healthier. May Allah blesses you here and Hereafter insyaAllah. We love you. You know that :)

Ok, before I end this extremely long entry, I want to share this. One of my best friend send a SMS to me sounded like this :

“ Untuk renungan, jika Mesir jatuh ke tangan Ikhwanul Muslimin, sempadan Rafah mungkin akan dibuka untuk pejuang Islam seluruh dunia. Assalamualaikum people

Yes, as the entry said, I am terrified.

My parents, my sister and I went to Hospital Sultanah Aminah today to visit my aunt, Fu Saleha.

And to tell you the truth, I did not even know why she was there

All I know was, the pain was something to do with her ulcer in the stomach

She collapsed and admitted to ICU yesterday

and Alhamdulillah she was moved to normal ward today

Looking her lying lethargically, with all her children

(except one,Amri, who was on his way all the way from London)

around her, most of them with red and teary eye, was just a heartache.

And for the first time in my life, I saw my uncle hugged my dad, tightly and cried on my dad's shoulder.

It was like I was watching another soap drama.

And the only major difference was, it happened to people I know

I was bitting my lips, trying hard to hold back the tears

أَذْهِبْ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ , وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي , لا شِفَاءَ إِلا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

Me : ko carik la bini cikgu. senang sket

A : tu la. aku pk gak nak cari cikgu wat bini. sonok ptg2 balik keja ada nugget ayam atas meja

Me : whaaaaat?!!! LOL

Well, HELLO LONG-AWAITED-HOLIDAYS!

One big thing happened last week

Alhamdulillah, my family was chosen as Anugerah Keluarga Bahagia Daerah Pontian 2010

I am not very sure how they chose the winner

all I could remember was

there was one day when my dad brought back 20 pages form to be filled in

and lazily and forcefully I filled them in with Umi's ideas and help

they asked lots of questions

and when I said a lot, it was really a lot

I could remember some of the questions, such as

1. adakah anda pergi ke masjid untuk menunaikan solat fardhu?

2. adakah anda dan keluarga anda makan bersama-sama

3. bagaimanakah hubungan antara anak-anak anda?

i think they asked more than 50 questions, which of course I simply answered. and of course honestly. hehe

We did not won the big prize

but we do not need the prize to prove that our parents is the best parents ever

because, they already are

each and everyone of us will think our own parents are the best right?

I still could picture my parent's joyous face when they were there on the stage, received the prizes from Dato' Abd Ghani Othman

I have discussions with my girlfriends through the phone last week
and these the conclusions that we all have got
owh ya, we talked about falling in love

1. Cinta sangat mudah mengawal nafsu dan diri tanpa kita sedari. So, kene pandai-pandai control diri sendiri

2. Orang lelaki tidak suka dikongkong dan akan bosan dengan dengan perangai kita yang merimaskan

3. Kena bersabar dan save the passion bila dah berkahwin nanti supaya perkahwinan diberkati Allah SWT

4. Cuba baca buku Women from Venus, Men From Mars, and you will understand more
(yeah, I haven't read it yet)

5. Ingat Allah banyak-banyak, perasaan sayang dan rindu tu jangan lebih-lebih sangat,
sebab takut nanti dah kawin boleh jadi hilang semua tu

6. Kalau kita nak rasa dekat dengan the man we love, kita kena dekat dengan Allah dulu

7. Why? sebab Allah yang pegang hati orang yang kita sayang tu. Because Allah can simply remove you from his heart. Just like that.

Apa yg diajar kepada kita oleh Nabi saw cara mengerjakan solat istikharah ada cara terbaik sebagaimana yang datang dalam hadis2 yang soheh dan baginda tidak menyuruh melakukan seperti tersebut.

Lakukanlah solat seperti biasa dua rakaat dan selepas salam berdoa kepada Allah dengan doa yang diajar oleh baginda saw yaitu :

"Ya Allah, aku memohon petunjuk daripadaMu dengan ilmuMu dan aku memohon ketentuan daripadaMu dengan kekuasaanMu dan aku memohon daripadaMu akan limpah kurniaanMu yang besar. Assalamualaikum people

It has been a while since the last post
Alhamdulillah, again, my life couldn't be better
couldn't be happier than this
Sometimes we can't see the hikmah of everything
until for some time

I have received 3 great news yesterday
First, I do not have to go to KL to bring students on a trip
since there is a teacher that willing to go
thank you Laili, I owe you want
well, I have reasons why I hesitated to go
I am not experienced enough at this field
so it is good to give it to someone who is in that place already
another two news, I will just keep it to myself :)

Few days ago, I browsed through my junior back in Palmerston North FB page
Lufti has posted a newspaper cut regarding our Muslim Prayer Centre in Massey
It was such a beautiful feeling the moment i read it
it was indescribably

in 2005, I hardly go there even Syed has asked me few times to go there
maybe because I was alone at that time
and a little bit shy
I still went there when it was too cold to go home to perform pray

in 2006, when Hani, Yusma, Nabil, Nadiah and the rest were coming into the frame,
we starting to go there a little bit
it was the place where we met to rest, took a short nap
and reheat our prepacked lunch
and of course to pray berjemaah :)

in 2007, when the family were getting bigger,
I think I went there almost everyday especially in Ramadhan
we would stay from the break fasting until the end of terawih
and I will go straight away to Stats lab which is just few steps away

in the newspaper,
it says that
"They come from a culture alien to our own, and forced to adapt to life in a new country.Find out how the Massey University Islamic Center provides a second home to many international Muslim students, who are making a home in Palmerston North"

and it touched my heart the most when Lutfi commented

ok, before I stop, let's share a lil bit about Ramadhan

Keutamaan bulan Ramadan dan keutamaan beramal di dalamnya

1. Ertinya : Diriwayatkan dari Abu Hurairah ra: Bahwa sesungguhnya Rasulullah saw. pernah bersabda : Ketika datang bulan Ramadan: Sungguh telah datang kepadamu bulan yang penuh berkat, diwajibkan atas kamu untuk puasa, dalam bulan ini pintu Jannah dibuka, pintu Neraka ditutup, Setan- Setan dibelenggu. Dalam bulan ini ada suatu malam yang nilanya sama dengan seribu bulan, maka barangsiapa diharamkan kebaikannya (tidak beramal baik didalamnya), sungguh telah diharamkan (tidak mendapat kebaikan di bulan lain seperti di bulan ini). ( HR. Ahmad, Nasai dan Baihaqy. Hadits Shahih Ligwahairihi).

2. "Diriwayatkan dari Urfujah, ia berkata : Aku berada di tempat 'Uqbah bin Furqad, maka masuklah ke tempat kami seorang dari Sahabat Nabi saw. ketika Utbah melihatnya ia merasa takut padanya, maka ia diam. ia berkata: maka ia menerangkan tentang puasa Ramadan ia berkata : Saya telah mendengar Rasulullah saw bersabda tentang bulan Ramadan: Di bulan Ramadan ditutup seluruh pintu Neraka, dibuka seluruh pintu Jannah, dan dalam bulan ini Setan dibelenggu. Selanjutnya ia berkata : Dan dalam bulan ini ada malaikat yang selalu menyeru : Wahai orang yang selalu mencari/ beramal kebaikan bergembiralah anda, dan wahai orang-orang yang mencari/berbuat kejelekan berhentilah ( dari perbuatan jahat) . Seruan ini terus didengungkan sampai akhir bulan Ramadan." (Riwayat Ahmad dan Nasai )

3. " Diriwayatkan dari Abi Hurairah ra. Sesungguhnya Nabi saw. telah bersabda : Solat lima waktu, solat Jum'at sampai solat Jum'at berikutnya, puasa Ramadan sampai puasa Ramadaan berikutnya, adalah menutup dosa-dosa (kecil) yang diperbuat diantara keduanya, bila dosa-dosa besar dijauhi." ( H.R.Muslim)

4. "Diriwayatkan dari Abdullah bin Amru, bahwa sesungguhnya Nabi saw. telah bersabda: puasa dan Qur'an itu memintakan syafa?at seseorang hamba di hari Kiamat nanti. puasa berkata : Wahai Rabbku, aku telah mencegah dia memakan makanan dan menyalurkan syahwatnya di siang hari, maka berilah aku hak untuk memintakan syafa'at baginya. Dan berkata pula AL-Qur'an : Wahai Rabbku aku telah mencegah dia tidur di malam hari ( karena membacaku ), maka berilah aku hak untuk memintakan syafaat baginya. Maka keduanya diberi hak untuk memmintakan syafaat." ( H.R. Ahmad, Hadits Hasan).

5. "Diriwayatkan dari Sahal bin Sa'ad : Sesungguhnya Nabi saw telah bersabda : bahwa sesungguhnya bagi Jannah itu ada sebuah pintu yang disebut " Rayyaan". Pada hari kiamat dikatakan : Dimana orang yang puasa? ( untuk masuk Jannah melalui pintu itu), jika yang terakhir diantara mereka sudah memasuki pintu itu, maka ditutuplah pintu itu." (HR. Bukhary Muslim).

6. Rasulullah saw. bersabda : Barangsiapa puasa Ramadhan karena beriman dan ikhlas, maka diampuni dosanya yang telah lalu dan yang sekarang ( HR.Bukhary Muslim).

KESIMPULAN :
Kesemua Hadits di atas memberi pelajaran kepada kita, tentang keutamaan bulan Ramadhan dan keutamaan beramal didalamnya, diantaranya :

Bulan Ramadhan adalah:

. Bulan yang penuh Barakah.

. Pada bulan ini pintu Jannah dibuka dan pintu neraka ditutup.

. Pada bulan ini Setan-Setan dibelenggu.

. Dalam bulan ini ada satu malam yang keutamaan beramal didalamnya lebih baik daripada beramal seribu bulan di bulan lain, yakni malam LAILATUL QADR.

. Pada bulan ini setiap hari ada malaikat yang menyeru menasehati siapa yang berbuat baik agar bergembira dan yang berbuat ma'shiyat agar menahan diri. (dalil 1 & 2).

Keutamaan beramal di bulan Ramadhan antara lain :

. Amal itu dapat menutup dosa-dosa kecil antara setelah Ramadhan yang lewat sampai dengan Ramadhan berikutnya.

. Menjadikan bulan Ramadhan memintakan syafaa't.

. Khusus bagi yang puasa disediakan pintu khusus yang bernama Rayyaan untuk memasuki Jannah. ( dalil 3, 4, 5 dan 6).

My Best Friend's Wedding

Assalamualaikum people

Just a quick entry
Alhamdulillah, I managed to be there, during Ijat aka Hafizatulakmal’s solemnization. She is one my best friends back in SEMSAS. We used to study together for our SPM with Baiti and Ebby. We spent lot of time together especially during SPM days in Form 5 study room. Four of us actually had conquered the room. I think the room had been the witness of everything we have done in the room – of course the studying, the eating, the gossiping, the dreams we were dreaming of like going overseas to further study, the dream guy, the skodeng thing etc. Well, Ijat’s father passed away when we were in Form 4. So, the 15 years old brother of her, was her Wali for the akad. I could not hold my tears when I saw the moment his brother shaked Ijat’s hand and read something, right before the akad nikah started. Then, right after they pronounced as man and wife, again, I felt the same way , when I saw the groom and his mother were hugging each other and crying. I was told that the groom is the last child in the family, so that explained a lot.

Anyhow, to my best friend Nurhafizatul Akmal and his husband Fuad, may Allah blesses this wedding with more love and happiness. May this eternity love lasts till in Jannah insyaAllah :)

Aprilicious and Mayveles

Assalamualaikum readers :)

Wah..it has been a while since the last post.. life is getting hectier, and you will never know what next. There are things lining up to be done. Here are few updates since the last post:

1. Yes, I am 25 years old ALREADY. Haha. And hey its just another number ok. I still feel as if I am 18. Haha. Ica bought a cake at home. And they did bought cake in Staff Room. Thanks guys :)

2. Yes, Praise to Allah, I have gotten my very first car. I would say its birthday is 10th of April, that is 5 days away from my birthday. Yes it is the greatest birthday present I would say. Thank you Umi. Thank you Ambok. Thank you for donating sum of money for the downpayment. Hehe.

3. On the 1st May, for the first time, I drove my new ride for a slightly longer journey than usual, alone. I managed to drive all the way from Pekan Nenas to Parit Sulong, the house of the newlyweds, Sepat. Ok her real name is Khairul Mar’ah, one of my good friends back in SEMSAS. She got married with one of her best friends, Zaidi. I know her husband because Sepat used to bring him few times to my house during kenduri and raya open house. Congratulations Sepat and Zaidi. May you live happily ever after and may the love lasts till in Jannah insyaAllah. Who’s next on the line? Hehe. I managed to meet few faces that I long to see for quite some time especially Zaza and Wani Apple. There were Eisya as well, Ama, Suza, Ebby, Esah, and of course the boys. He drove all the way back, together with Zaza at the back seat. We had dinner at around 10.30pm at Tambak with Zaza, Ama and Zaidi and Syib. We had good times. We talked and laughed a lot sampai sakit perut. Zaza and Ama followed me to my house, while he and Syib went back to their motel in Batu Pahat. I reckoned the three of us slept around 4 plus in the morning since we had soooo many to shared. Haha. We should do this ‘The Untold Story’ more frequent though. Before each of us get married and cannot do things like this again. Hehe. I had sooooo much fun that weekend and like I said to him, it was one of the bestest weekend ever.

4. Another remarkable thing that happened during this MayVeles (quoted from Fiza..hehe) was, the nine of us, the member of Program Pelajar Cemerlang Kohort 1, who were taking our Diploma Education back in IPTI, were finally graduated, officially. The ceremony was held in PERSADA of JB. All of us turned up, except for Iylia. Hey congratulations Iylia for your pregnancy. Hehe. We were soooo happy on that day, and the day before. It was not the ceremony that we long for so much, it’s the meeting up session and update each other with latest news. Zul is inviting us for his wedding in October, while Achah in December. Congratulations guys. Who’s next on the line?

5. Yes, I have celebrated my very first Teachers’ Day as a teacher itself last 17th May. It was an amazing day. I never expectd that I would get that much of gifts. And the best past was, most of the gifts given are among the naughtiest students in the class. The ones that are always get nagged foe being a little bit lazy and noisy. Hehe. It was such a perfect memory that I would remember along this way. I love the feeling the moment I entered the Staff Room, and see my desk were full with cute gift boxes and bags. Well, it is not the gifts that counted, it’s the thought and the sincerity of the students to get something for their teacher. The cards, and the writings and wishes on them are enough to make me moved. Thank you my dear students. I just love you :)

Usah digusar jika tidak dapat kecap apa yang kita impikan untuk harungi hidup, tetapi renungkanlah nikmat yang lebih besar yang kita akan peroleh jika kita bersabar atas segala pengorbanan...ingatlah janji Allah kepada mereka yang beriman, bersabar dan sentiasa istiqamah dan berusaha.

3. "Peliharalah Allah, nescaya engkau akan dapatiNya di hadapan engkau. Kenalilah Allah ketika senang,nescaya Dia akan mengenalimu di ketika susah. Ketahuilah bahawa apa-apa yang (ditakdirkan) tidakmenimpamu, ia tidak akan menimpamu. Dan apa-apa yang menimpamu bukannya ia tersilap menimpamu. Ketahuilah bahawa kemenangan itu ada bersama kesabaran, terlepas dari kesempitan itu ada bersama kesusahan dan bersama kesusahan itu ada kesenangan." (HR Tirmidzi)

Keep It Safely In The Heart

the Most Beneficent the Most Merciful
Alhamdulillah
There is no words that can explains how grateful I am

1. Umi is getting healthier. She gains 2 kgs during the last check up, which make her 40kgs now. May Allah blesses her with more energy. Nothing in this world could make me happier other than seeing Umi better and better. Thank you Allah.

2. I have gotten my first official pay check ( ok, yang kat NZ dulu tak kire sebab tu keje main-main.hehe). Alhamdulillah I have my own money now that I could spend without hesitation. Haha. So, anyone who wants me to give a treat, please come down to JB and claim it before all the money gone! :D :D :D

3. So far, school is great. Wonderful colleagues and awesome students. The only thing that is not so nice is we have to come to school every Saturday since 3 weeks ago. Haih, tiring. I thought we just have 5 working days? However, the last Saturday was awesome too because I managed to get a lucky draw. Haha. Jakun la sikit because I am not that lucky usually. A bit 'malu' because Cikgu Azman, the Master of Ceremony of that day introducing me to the public as All Black representative, since coincidentally, I was wearing black kurung on that PIBG Meeting.

4. At the moment, I am waiting for my very first car. Again, the one in NZ was not counted since it was a second hand car. It served me well though. Can't wait, excited yet at the same time, boleh ke aku jage kete sendiri ni? isi minyak pun tak lepas lagi. hahaha. please laugh at me. please. i dun mind. i have this phobia thing when it comes to filling the fuel.

5. There is something in my mind that I could not let it out because I am afraid it will cause disaster to some people. I am not comfortable with the situations right not, yet I do not want to bring up this issue again. It hurts. Yes is it. But a good friend of me told me to stay cool and not 'melatah' like typical people will do. I am not typical people so I won't do stupid things that will not give anything but bad return. Haih, I am not supposed to think about this thing again though. I am tired. Yes, I am very tired. I am not a pyscho or something. It just I do not feel comfortable with it. If and only if they could understand me :( Haih.

Ok. As usual, I just want to share with you something. Ok, we have been told these things over and over again. But, I am sure, we will forget, especially me mysels. That is why we need to be reminded over simple things so that we won't forget how important they are.

Nana and Kak Aisyah =)

Assalamualaikum people

I was so happy today as I managed to talk ( as in chatting in YM..hehe) with my beautiful sisters that I truly missed, Nana and Kak Aisyah who are still in Hamilton. I think we talked quite a lot of things, as we have not talk for a very long time I would say.

Nana is one of my best friends back in Hamilton. She is younger than me, but somehow I think she is way matured that me. Hehe. She always says nice things to me. One thing that I love and adore her the most, she won't talk bad things about people, no matter what. Everything happens, she will try to make it as positively as it can. She is a very good cook too. Very very good I would say.Just name it, she can do. I still remember how 'jakun' I was when I saw her made 'keropok lekor' from scratch. And there are a lot more good food that she can make. Like Irah , Nana also thinks cook is one way to reduce their stress. I was like...owh ok. I never knew there are such people. Haha. I hope I could be like that one day. Owh Nana can also sew. I am still using the bag that she sew using piece of cloth of Spotlight Hamilton. Well, Nana and me shares a lot of stuff. Especially during my final moments in New Zealand. We share the bed, pray together, she cook and I will eat, and the most unforgettable thing was we share the tummy bugssss as well!!! Haha. Ok, why am I talking about her? because I miss her and I can't wait for her to go home so that we can go holiday to Borneo together. Hehe

Kak Aisyah is also one of the closest friends I have in Hamilton. We hardly met, but each time I met her, I would feel relieved. Like my grandmother said once, kalau kita jumpa dengan orang baik-baik ni, hati kita akan jadi tenang je. Yes, it is proven. I still remember when I was having my bad days, she could turn my emotion 360 degrees. Kak Aisyah is a good cook too. Of course with her partner in crime , Kak Eli. Kak Aisyah, I can't wait for your homecoming as well because I want to crash your house in JB and I want to follow you balik kampung.

I Never Been There, So I Want To Be There

Assalamualaikum people

There are a lot of things I want to write, but each time my fingers hit the keyboard, all of them disappears, as if they are blowing along with the wind. Anyway, Alhamdulillah, praise to Him for His continuous blessing. School is good. I am teaching mathematics to 4 classes of form 1 students. Of course there is a lot to do, plus different kind of students you are facing every single day, but hey that is my work. Some students are excited when you are coming, some are not. Some students ask for more homework, some ask for less. Some students are very hardworking, some are less hardworking. Some students have even more beautiful handwriting compared to mine, some are just simply worst that you might have to use kanta pembesar to mark their work. Despite that, I really enjoy doing the job (meaning I still can smile when I am on my way from school to home) and I hope this feeling will remain like that.

Its holiday now. Part of me wants to out there and see things. I want to go places that I never been in Malaysia. i know I have not explore Malaysia as much I as I did in New Zealand, since I know, I have a lifetime to enjoy what Malaysia has offered me, insyaAllah. These are some places that I want to go. Can somebody bring me to these places please?

Again, just a quick one
I just want to share what I have got today when I watched Semanis Kurma just now

Ada 3 perkara di dalam dunia
Yang jika kita melihatnya sahaja
terus mendapat pahala percuma

1. Kaabah
Itu belum ditambah dengan umrah dan haji lagi.
Hanya dengan melihat Kaabah

2. Al-Quran
Tengok Al-quran pun da dapat pahala da.
Itu belum ditambah dengan membacanya lagi.
Tapi jangan la asyik tengok, buat perhiasan kat almari je pulak.
Umi pesan, kalau tak dapat khatamkan Quran sehari, baca sejuzuk pun takpe. Kalau tak dapat baca sejuzuk sehari, baca sehelai pun takpe.
Kalau tak dapat baca sehelai sehari, xtau la nak cakap ape. Betul jugak.
Setakat baca sehelai lembaran Quran tu berapa minit sangat lah nak dibandingkan dengan masa kita tengok tv, melayari internet, facebook, sms dan perkara-perkara lain yang melaghakan..huhu..astagfirullah

3. Ibu Bapa
Pandang ibu bapa kita dengan penuh kasih sayang pun da dapat pahala. So, selagi mereka masih hidup ni, tataplah wajah mereka dan kasihilah mereka. I know I can't put them well in words, like what Ustazah Bahiyah did until all the audiences in the studio cried, but I think all of you can understand what I am trying to say. There are no other people in this world who will love us as much as our parents do. Love them, appreciate them before it is too late for us to do so

This situation took place in a room in JPN Johor
KUSM : So saya ucapkan selamat bertugas dengan baik. Kerajaan dah habiskan banyak duit untuk program pelajar cemerlang ni. so kami harapkan yang terbaiklah dari awak.

Me: insyaAllah tuan, saya cuba sebaik mungkin.

KUSM : belum kahwin kan? jangan kahwin la 3 tahun pertama ni ye. awak kene all out 3 tahun ni. kene pantau sepanjang masa.

Me:* muke terkejut*

KUSM : eh, boleh kawin, tapi tak boleh pindah ikut suami la 3 tahun ni dulu ye.hehe

Me: insyaAllah, xde masalah tuan *senyum*

well, i used to study here too

before i got the offer to SEMSAS
i have got the offer on 31st December 2009
and i just started working today

The 335th Day Of The Year

December has come again.
Today, is the 335th day of the year.
It has been almost a year since I went home for good.
My final flight from Auckland Airport to KLIA was on the 15h December 2008. How time flies.
There are sooooooooo many things have happened through out this one year.
A lot of things.
Culture shock, weather shock, new friends, friendship, relationship, kpli troublesome yet awesome life, last but not least, adapting life back with family, after so much ‘freedom life’..hehe..
Well, at least I cried less this year. I love that part.
Its not that I love to cry so much before, but cry is one of things that I could do to lease my sadness, anger, disappointment, homesick and all the negative feelings.
Less cry = less negative feeling.
So, that’s the feeling of being home. Alhamdulillah.

Some people asked me, do you miss New Zealand?
People who close to me, they will know how I am missing New Zealand terribly.
NZ has been home for me for about 4 years.
4 years did not sound long enough ey, but when I was in that duration of 4 years, it seemed long enough.
I managed to know a lot of people with different kind of attitude.
I managed to know who my friends are, and who are not.
I managed to go around all over NZ quite few times, with awesome people around me. I managed to come home every summer (I planned to work every summer, but I ended up spending my summer at home with my beloved ones).
I managed to do some part time work like counting cars, cleaner, student’s ambassador, babysitter and etc, which taught me that it was not that easy to get money!
Well, I don’t think I can list out of everything I had achieved when I was there. Most of all, I miss NZ and I hope I could go back there someday with my family and show places that have taught me more about meaning of life.

Sometimes I did not know what I want.
Sometimes I hurt people’s feeling.
Sometimes I am being too selfish.
Sometimes I say something bad about people.
Sometimes I think something bad about people.
Sometimes I even hate people.
Sometimes I want people to be good to me, yet I do not the same thing to them.
Sometimes I give less, and I expect more.
I am a bad person, am i? =(

I want to share few simple rules that we can do in our everyday life,
to make sure that we are living in this world in with one purpose of life,
that is MENCARI REDHA ALLAH.

The other day, one of my Uniten’s friends, put on his fb status that
most of people are forgetting the purpose of life.

Very true indeed.
Sometimes, we are too busy caring about our live here, and forgetting the Hereafter.
These are just halves of them, I will post the rest later.

1. Start off each day with 'adhkaar al-istiyqaadh' (waking up Supplications), thanking Allah for waking up in good shape.

2. Put Allah first in your life.

3. Broaden your horizons - learn 5 new verses from the Quran every day, travel to pray far in the mosque to brighten your day,take up a booklet having supplications and read them.

4. Pray Salaat Al-dhuhaa (after sunrise).

5. If someone says something mean ;to you, just shrug it off and dismiss it in a friendly, laidback manner, and pray that Allah shall forgive them.

6. When you get angry, remember Allah, and how short and worthless life is to waste in being Angry.

7. Remember that you can never have too many friends, but you can have few quality friends that help you fulfill the purpose of your creation (i.e. live for Allah).

8. When you're happy, try to share your happiness with others. Thank Allah for that, and pray its continuation.

9. When something bad or embarrassing happens to you, just think that it could always be worse, remember the reward of patience,and thank Allah that it's not worse than it is.

10. Do something extra of goodness once in a while, like feeding a poor person, or caressing an orphan's head.

11. Never stop believing that you can win Allah's love and thus work For it. Then you can win the love of Allah's slaves.

12. Spend some time thinking of Allah's amazing creation.

Assalamualaikum people

As what my sister have wrote for her status the other day,
last weekend was my cousin’s engangement in Pasir Gudang (Congratulationssssss Yuhan! ), then, this week will be Ammar Darwish’s kenduri cukur jambul
in Teluk Ramunia of Kota Tinggi.
The weekend next will be the other cousin of my’s wedding.

We celebrated the first day of Raya at kampong together with
Wang, Fuang Umi, Fuang Baba, Bachok and Cik’s Family.
I felt soooooo happy that I have got the chance to hear the takbir again, here in kampong..after years of Arabic’s takbir back in New Zealand.
Since the house is just next to the surau, we can hear the sound very clearly.
After that, around 3.30 pm, we were packing back to our own house in Pekan Nenas.
On the way back, we managed to snap a family photo in the studio..
Yay!!! and here is the latest picture of Hanaffi’s & Co =D

Oh ya..another remarkable thing during this Syawal was
I joined my childhood friend’s Raya Convoy.
It has been 12 years since our last meeting.
At first I felt soooo shy to join them in, but when the day comes,
I could feel that the feeling and the friendship is still there.
Thank you guys!

I won’t say much in this entry as I am not in a very stable condition.
Not physically.
Something unexpected has happened and I am a bit blur at the moment.
Thank God it happens here, in my home,
rather than when I was thousand miles away from home.
After so many years, suddenly it happens. It is nobody’s fault.
It just happen that way, and we, as the slaves of Him, have to accept it.
It hurts. It is.
But there is nothing I could do about it.
Other that pray hard, pray hard and pray hard that everything will be just fine.
Everything will be back to normal. Or maybe even better than before.
InsyaAllah.
No matter what happen, my heart will stay the same.

5 things I do remember about my past Ramadhans

Ramadhan 1425 @ October 2005

1. The kind hearted mix Maori-Pakeha makcik Dewan Makan would make my food ready for both breaking fast and sahur.

2. Sometimes, Kak Lane would fetch me at hostel and she would cook great dishes and we ate together with Syed as well

3. If there was no invitation from Kak Lane, Syed, Abg Ziad or Kak Pica, yes, I would sahur, buka puasa and terawih alone..yes people, alone, in Room 48 of Moginie Hall

4. I hardly cried because I was counting days to go home on the 5^th of Syawal, right after my final exams. Yes, we did have exams on Hari Raya Pertama.

5. It was hard and quite challenging as people around you did not fast. Not many Moslems around, Malaysians laaaagi la takde. But, Alhamdulillah, it was such a beautiful memory and hey, I did survived!

Ramadhan 1426 @ October 2006

1. I was not alone anymore!!! There were 8 of us berbuka puasa bersama – me, hani, yusma, nabil, nadiah, kak Leila, imran and razif..well, the number of Malaysians in Palmerston North has grown more than 1000%..hehe

2. We had kind of duty rosters to cook since early February, so we just continued the roster. Me together with my partner Hani because she is a very good cook, and I am not =p

3. I remember how Yusma were craving for food like apam balik and murtabak. And we were blessed, because of her craveness, she managed to cook the dishes and we managed to eat all those things!!! I also remember how Hani tebuk the tin susu to make roti jala a reality!

4. Alhamdulillah, we sahur and buka puasa together..and pray terawih berjamaah in the hallway through out the month of Ramadhan

5. It was one of the most beautiful Ramadhaan I ever had in my life

Ramadhan 1427 @ September 2007

1. New housemates. For the first time I lived together with Malaysians under one roof. Hana.Yusma.Hani

2. This year, every weekdays, we went to iftar in Islamic Centre and we stayed there until Tarawih. So we just have to cook for sahur . Sometimes, ada juga juadah dari jiran tetangga =)

3. This is the busiest Ramadhan I had because right after Terawih, I will go to the Stats Lab until midnight and finished all my assignments.

4. My situation was still unknown because at that time, I still did not know whether this Ramadhan was going to be my last Ramadhan in NZ or not.

5. Owh, suddenly I remembered the Mongolia man..hehehehe

Ramadhan 1428 @ September 2008

1. New place, new faces, new friends, new environment, back in Hamilton

2. Every weekend was full with potluck or kenduri buka puasa at different houses..yummm!

3. owh ya, the hostel girls, together with 35D Cameron Rd girls were breaking fast together every single day.

4. Terawih berjemaah almost every night, sometimes at Kak Aisyah and Kak Eli’s crib

5. A bit sad because this was the last Ramadhan in NZ, yet excited to go home!

Kurang-kurangkan perkara yang kurang berfaedah seperti melayari facebook, membaca blog, menonton drama kesukaan terlalu lama..alangkah indahnya sekiranya waktu yang digunakan untuk melayari internet itu digunakan untuk membaca AlQuran sehinggalah khatam (pesanan ini untuk diri saya sendiri..huhu..dan anda juga )

Saya sangat teruja dan berasa sangat bersyukur kerana setelah 4 kali Ramadhan jauh di perantauan, tahun ini insyaAllah saya dapat kembali berpuasa bersama-sama keluarga tercinta. Jadi kawan-kawan di Palmerston North dan Hamilton jangan jealous ya =)

Anyway, itu semua tidak penting. Yang penting adalah bagaimana pengisian Ramadhan kita. Sama-samalah kita menjadikan Ramadhan tahun ini lebih baik dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Siapa tahu, ia mungkin Ramadhan yang terakhir buat kita

Yesterday, my sister in law, Kak Suzy has safely delivered a baby boy in Puteri Specialist Hospital in Larkin. Here is the details of the new member of Hanaffi's

Baby's Name : Ammar Darwish (to be confirmed)
Weight : 3.58 kg
Height : 55 cm
Time of Birth : 2.45pm (normal)
Date of Birth : 27th of June 2009

I didnt have the picture as i was too excited last night when i first met him
I will post it later from yus's hp
He is way cute and adorable
I can't wait to watch him grows up and can play together with faiq

My dad : Ambok dah ade 2 cucu da Elun
Me : Haah ambok..elun pon dah ade 2 anak sedare..hehe

Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah
That whats my dad said after my brother called and tell the details
We went to the hospital at night
And I could see Kak Suzy was so lethargic, but she seems okay and happy too
The new parents are just too excited to enter the world of parenthood
There is no word to describe the bliss..the joy..the happiness that i felt in that room last night
and I will pray for its continuation..insyaAllah =)

About my own life
I have started my 10 weeks practical in SMK Taman Universiti
So far so good
Its just you have to yell to 40 students every day
hehe
and I am lucky to get a good class
so, Thank God
I just hope these coming ten weeks will always be fine for me
InsyaAllah

Actually I have few drafts that I haven’t finished yet

But I think I want to write a letter tonight

Since someone did an entry about missing me (click here), I have decided to write a letter to that someone special.

Assalamualaikum Farhana

Coincidently, I have read again the letter you gave me last Saturday night. Strange, funny little thing right? We were reminiscing of the same thing hana!

I miss the time when we solat jemaah together almost everytime and of course reading the maksurat together (which hardly be done here =(). Mase usrah di bilikku yang best tu, sambil korang membaca-baca nota-nota akak di dinding, di pintu wardrobe dan di depan meja study..hehehe

When we were housemates, sometimes, I thought you are matured than me. Especially when the time I got a lil bit crazy (hehe..seperti gedik terlebih dan sebagainye..).

I miss it when you were ‘yelling’ at us when hani yusma n me were ‘quarelling’..hana jadi macam orang tengah la konon..sure sebab hana tense kteorg dok bising je..hahha..tapi tak selalu right..since I think I spent 1/3 of my final year in the beloved stats lab in aghort building..jarang-jarang balik rumah before 12am..so sesekali balik rumah awal, tu yang buat bising tu..saje nak kasik hana hilang rindu kat akak.

I miss your cook hana..even evrytime you cooked something, you will tell us tak jadi la kak elun..makan je la ek…hello..it was yummy, yet you said tak jadik?then me hani n yusma would reply you owh ok..if tak jadi pun da rasa sedap macam ni..of course if jadik, memang sedap gilaa laa..hihi

And the list just goes on. I would not finish them in one night if I ever want to write everything I miss about you, and of course my life in 2007 in Palmerston North. I just wanted to say, cherish and appreciate the moment while you are there hana. You will miss every single second that you have spent there once you are home in Malaysia.

And tell you what, Malaysia is the real ‘medan pertempuran’. So, fulfill yourself with enough courage, knowledge and everything you have to. I talk about both life now and Hereafter. Yang penting jaga and kuatkan iman. Benda tu la yang paling susah nak jaga. Bila da balik Malaysia, dugaan menguji iman tu sebenarnya laaaaagi kuat dibandingkan hidup di ceruk Palmerston North tu. No my dear. I am not going to scare you my sister, I am just telling you to prepare yourself with enough ‘bekalan’.

Ok la.. I think it is enough for this time around. All the best for your finals my dear! Buang tepi benda-benda remeh dan focus on the right thing. Focus on why we are sending there =)

Wow..it has been 2 months since the last post
I cant describe with words how busy I was for these past few months
And yes, it is going to be even busier right after this week
We will have Perkhemahan Unit Beruniform, and then Kursus Kepegawaian Bola Tampar, then comes Bina Insan Guru..and the list just goes on..
I can’t complain..because I know, there are billions people out there who are having so much more problem than me
So I have to be grateful to HIM, for giving me such a wonderful like this

Golongan ini merasa dukacita dan takut terhadap kematian.
Tetapi apabila telah mengalami mati, dia berasa sukacita. Malahan jika diberi pilihan, mereka tidak akan mahu kembali ke dunia semula.
Mereka telah dapat mengecapi dan menikmati alam yang lebih kekal dan lebih baik daripada alam fana yang penuh dengan kesusahan dan kesengsaraan. Golongan ini ibarat seorang bayi yang baru lahir dari perut ibunya. Semasa akan keluar, bayi akan menangis kerana menyangka hidup di dalam perut ibunya lebih baik dan nyaman daripada alam dunia. Tetapi apabila telah lahir di dunia ini, dia tidak akan mahu kembali ke dalam perut ibunya meskipun diberi pilihan. Manusia yang termasuk dalam golongan ini ialah orang-orang beriman yang belum mencapai taraf tinggi atau orang mukmin biasa.

So, anda golongan yang mana?
Atau pun anda tidak termasuk langsung dalam mana-mana golongan?
Dunia ini hanya sementara. Akhirat yang kekal sedang menanti kita.
Cukupkah bekalan untuk ke sana?

Welcome back to school!

Assalamualaikum everybody
it has been awhile since the last post
well, i am still adjusting my new life here in JB
wake up at 6..start walking around 7 to class
finish around 7pm..go to dinner
and reach hostel at 8pm
do tonnnes of homework
i feel so weird because i have less than 10 hours
to do the never-ending-homework
and sleep
so basically i divide it into 2
5 hours do work and 5 hours of sleeping
nice huh?
but alhamdulillah
iv got 'crazy' friends around me to keep me 'alive'
and as for now
i never failed to go home every weekend
yes people, every weekend
i just cant wait to see my handsome nephew

i will say it again
it feels sooooo good to be home
close to people you love
alhamdulillah

even sometimes it is hard to adjust
especially when it comes to homework
it is too much, yet too little time
tapi still sempat lagi tu nak blog..hehehehe
but then again, i have to deal with it
the other day i feel so down
but it is not worth it to cry on right

about one of my friend's huge problem about her termination of study

makes me realize that

one second it is good
and the next second it turns bad
not all people who are good in front of us
will be as good as when they are behind us
but
if we go back to Allah
and believe that everything happens for reasons
and know that
Allah tests us

because He loves us
because He wants us to always remember Him
because He wants us to be close to Him
because He wants us to cry to Him

Two dead after Waikato crash

7:37AM Thursday Dec 04, 2008

A male driver and a female passenger were killed and four people injured when their van collided with a truck and trailer unit in south Waikato last night.

The crash happened at the intersection of State Highway 1 and State Highway 5, east of Tirau.

Senior Sergeant Murray Hamilton of Taupo Police said initial inquiries showed that the van ignored a stop sign on SH5 and drove into the path of the truck and trailer unit on SH1.

Of the injured, two men were flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition, while two women were taken by ambulance with minor injuries. The truck driver was uninjured.

SH1 between Putaruru and Tirau was closed following the crash and diversions put in place.

Pensyarah, pelajar UiTM maut nahas di New Zealand

KUALA LUMPUR 3 Dis. –

Seorang timbalan dekan dan penuntut Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) yang mengadakan lawatan sambil belajar di New Zealand terbunuh, manakala empat lagi cedera selepas van yang mereka naiki terbabit dalam kemalangan di utara Putaruru, daerah Tirau di negara itu malam ini.

Mereka yang terbunuh ialah Timbalan Dekan Fakulti Komunikasi dan Pengajian Media UiTM, Shafiee Ahmad, 51, (gambar) dan Mariam Ahmad, 19, dari Sabah, penuntut jurusan penyiaran di universiti terbabit.

Tiga lagi mangsa iaitu Amirul Rashid, Siti Murni Ayu dan Khairul Siti Mohd. cedera parah manakala Siti Aishah Razi mendapat cedera ringan.

KUALA LUMPUR: Seorang timbalan dekan dan penuntut Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) terbunuh dalam kemalangan jalan raya di North Putaruru Tirau, Hamilton, kira-kira 200 kilometer dari Auckland, New Zealand, jam 8.15 malam tadi (3 petang waktu Malaysia).

Mangsa terbunuh dikenali sebagai Shafie Ahamad, 51, Timbalan Dekan Hal Ehwal Pelajar Fakulti Komunikasi dan Pengajian Media, manakala penuntut yang maut dikenal pasti sebagai Mariyam Sakinah Ahmad, 21.

Dalam kejadian itu, seorang lagi penuntut parah, manakala dua cedera ringan. Mereka ialah Amirul Rashid, Siti Murni Ayu dan Khairul Siti Muhamad.

Seorang lagi penuntut dikenali sebagai Siti Aishah Razi, terselamat.

Difahamkan, Shafie dan lima penuntut Kelab Fotografi UiTM serta tiga lagi pensyarah dalam lawatan sambil belajar ke negara itu. Shafie dikatakan menetap di Jalan Ampangan 4, Seksyen 8, Shah Alam.

Seorang Pegawai Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di New Zealand, Dzulkefly Mustapha yang dihubungi berkata, kejadian itu dimaklumkan polis kepada pihak kedutaan kira-kira jam 12 tengah malam (7 petang waktu Malaysia).

"Polis memaklumkan van dinaiki enam orang itu terbabit dalam kemalangan dengan sebuah trak. Mereka yang cedera dirawat di Hospital Waikato," katanya.

Difahamkan mayat mangsa kini berada di hospital di Auckland.

Dzulkefly berkata, beliau sempat berbual melalui telefon dengan Siti Aishah, tetapi tidak mendapat banyak maklumat kerana mangsa masih dalam trauma.

Sementara itu, anak kedua Shafie, Jamaatul, 17, berkata ayahnya ke New Zealand dua minggu lalu membawa rombongan pelajar mengadakan lawatan sambil belajar bagi subjek Photo Communication.

"Ayah sepatutnya balik Sabtu ini," katanya.

Arwah meninggalkan seorang balu, Salimah Shuhaimi, 45, dan empat anak, dua lelaki dan dua perempuan.

I was just finished watching it (again!) on TV2
I think I have watched that movie more than 5 times
crazy huh?
i don't know why
maybe I am a big fan of Kate Hudson's movies
but I just love this movie
sedih, terharu dan best
even I almost remember all the story plot
and maybe even its script
yet I can't help myself to watch it again tonight
(i even 'angkut' my lappy in front of the tv..konon2 nak buat kerja la..hehe)
as usual, when you are busy

they keep fighting over small things and even hit each other head
all the way from the karate school, to the house

you two will end up marrying each other one day
the boy: whatttttt???no way..i hate her
the girl: no way..you are kidding rite..you are just put it that way so that we will stop fighting...i hate him too..how can I marry the person I hate most

dan janganlah kita meninggalkan segala benih yang telah disemai ketika Ramadhan
Jiwanya masih lagi dipengaruhi bekas amal salih,

tadabbur al-Quran dan sedekah,
doa yang panjang, tangisan dan taubat pada akhir malam.

janganlah berpegang secara silap kepada hadith Rasulullah S.A.W
yang menyatakan syaitan diikat pada Ramadan
maka ada yang pandai-pandai beranggapan
dosa dan maksiat yang dilakukan kini bukan atas kemahuan mereka,
tetapi kerana rasukan serta hasutan syaitan selepas rantai dilepaskan

Mengapa menuduh syaitan menjadi punca kemerosotan iman,
padahal setiap insan dibekalkan
akal, hati, mata dan telinga untuk menerima hidayah Allah?

Allah berfirman yang bermaksud:
"Hampir-hampir neraka itu terpecah-pecah lantaran marah.
Setiap kali dilemparkan ke dalamnya sekumpulan orang kafir,
penjaga (neraka itu) bertanya kepada mereka:
Apakah belum pernah datang kepada kamu (di dunia) seorang pemberi peringatan?
Mereka menjawab: Benar ada.
Sesungguhnya telah datang kepada kami seorang pemberi peringatan,
maka kami mendustakannya dan kami katakan:
Allah tidak menurunkan sesuatupun,
kamu tidak lain hanyalah di dalam kesesatan yang besar.
Dan mereka berkata:
Jika kami mendengarkan atau memikirkan (peringatan itu)
nescaya tidaklah kami termasuk penghuni neraka yang menyala-nyala.
Mereka mengakui dosa mereka.
Maka kebinasaanlah bagi penghuni neraka yang menyala-nyala."

Assalamualaikum and Salam Aidilfitri

Ramadhan pun sudah melabuhkan tirainya
semoga semua amalan diterima dan diberkati-Nya
dan semoga apa yang baik dididik semasa Ramadhan berkekalan
baca Quran berterusan, bangun solat tahajud, bersedekah,
'kurang' bercakap hal keduniaan
dan banyak lagi
insyaAllah, panjang umur, dapat dipertemukan lagi dengan Ramadhan

Alhamdulillah
pertama kali beraya di bumi Hamilton..dan insyaAllah yang terakhir juga
selepas solat maghrib 29 Ramadhan, kak yati bagitaw raya 1 Oktober
lepas tu, ktrg bertakbir sama2,
then tolong kacau ella dan kak han memasak
sambil membuat assignment yang due pukul 11 pada hari raya pertama
itulah aktiviti malam raya saye =)
balik hostel sekitar 2.15 pagi dan terus tidur

bangun pagi, jam 7.35, kami bergerak ke rumah Abg Halim & Kak Roza untuk solat sunat hari raya dan makan-makan
then, kami bergerak ke destinasi pertama, rumah kak rina
dapat makan batang buruk!!
sedapnyeeee...
kak rina masak western + eastern
pizza, lasagna, rendang, kuah kacang etc
and the most exciting thing is
ktrg dapat duit raya!!

selepas rumah kak rina, rumah kak su
tapi disebabkan ada kelas, tak dapat join diorg
so pergi la ke kelas dengan memakai baju raya warna biru =)
habis kelas, pergi rumah kak eli dan kak aisyah,
rumah ira,
rumah diana,asma dan nana
dan rumah kak linda
pukul 3 ada kelas lagi
so after kelas, bersiap-siap untuk ke rumah pak rahman plak
around 7.30 pergi rumah kak yati law dan kak lili
dan rumah penutup untuk hari raya pertama adalah rumah Ella

that's what we did on our hari raya here in Hamilton
it feels like home
because we went to people's houses
and eat nasi impit, kuah kacang, rendang, soto etc
and not to forget
yummy-cutey-raya-cookies
and shaking hands, kissing cheek and wishing selamat hari raya
and I just love the atmosphere
I am sure I am gonna miss this once I am home

and today, we are still having 2 invitations to raya open house
weekends pun ada lagi =)
i have tonsss of assignments and my two tests are coming up later next week
and my final project are waiting for me as well
but hey
its Hari Raya ok =)

to the family at home,
insyaAllah, we will be celebrating our first raya together next year
(after 4 years..huhu)

Situation: I was presenting a brief overview about my fyp to 2 lecturers and classmates
Me: MasCargo are dealing with bla...bla..bla..they have motel for animals...they deals with all sorts of freights include Formula 1 racing cars
Lecturer 1: Formula 1 racing cars?
Me: Yeah..we do have Sepang International Circuit,one of the best circuits in the world
Lecturer 1: *terkesima..muke tak caye Malaysia ade Litar Formula 1*
Lecturer 2: Yeah..I hv been there..and u know what, for me KLIA is the best international airport..no wonder MasCargo can deal with almost everything in the world cause they are marvelous in the freight service..bla..bla..bla
Me: *die plak yg semangat..bukan aku ke yg tgh present?*

hihi..alhamdulillah..the presentation went well..
it was supposed to be 20 minutes, but it ended up almost one hour
well, when it comes to your own proud country, you just can't stop talking about it
my lecturers said, it went beyond their expectation
and it was done very well indeed

this morning, i watched the Singgah Sahur episod 1 on tv3 online
*thats one of my ways to reduce the nervous before the presentation..hehe*
in this first episode, the crew went to rumah kebajikan orang tua and anak yatim
its just sooooo sad to watch all the elders and the orphans
ade makcik tu, dah bertahun-tahun duduk situ
anak die baru datang 2 kali melawat
huhu
and the orphans as well
and some of them are send there because their parents can't afford their living expenses
oh my oh my
when I was in SEMSAS (even i now i guess), i was always complaining almost about everything
the non-comfy bed, the non-cooked rice, the not-so-yummy lauk
and everything
but, having a thought about all these kids
they have to live at the place
for the rest of their life (up to 18?..im x sure though)
but yet, they do not have any choice
which i do have
i have my own comfy house, i have yummy food at home
and most of all
I still have my umi and my ambok
huhu
why is it so hard for me to be such a grateful servant to God?
why is it so hard for me to think that there are sooooooo many people out there who are less fortunate?
why is it so hard for me to accept the fact that I am farrrr more 'bertuah' compared to all those orphans?
why is it so hard for me to be happy even I have to celebrate raya 5000 miles away from my family?
I still have my baju raya, delicious food and kuih raya, friends and all to celebrate raya together
compared to those orphans, who are waiting for other people's donation to have their own baju raya?
oh my oh my
stop complaining and be grateful Elun

The kid:what is rumah panjang, kak elun?
Me: err..its like a row of houses..long houses..where more than 40 families live under the same roof..but then they have divider for each house..we can find it in Sabah or Sarawak, but not in Semenanjung
The kid: What is Sabah, kak elun?
*cane nk jawab ek*
Me:err..its ok..one day, I will bring the Malaysia map and we will learn some places in Malaysia, ok?

Well, that was part of the conversation we had today. I have to teach Bahasa Melayu to this eight year old kid. I would say his mother tongue is New Zealand English because he was born here, in Kiwi land. Since then, he went back to Malaysia just for a few times. So, it is understandable if he could not speak malay as the other malay kids at his age.Its quite fun though, because usually you learn english and have to translate it to malay in order to make you understand. But, in this situation, I have to translate the Malay word to the English word. Its like the other way around..hihi..I hope he will learn as much as he can so that he won't forget the bahasa ibunda =)

i think, i wont have enough space if I were about to write all those things that you (and me myself) could do to maximize our amal ibadah in this barakah month
hence, i think i should stop wasting my time here and continue doing something beneficial =p

alhamdulillah..i have got my result for last semester today
but just for one paper...but its ok..its perfect enough to make me smile all day

and alhamdulillah..last night hulaqah was awesome...we started around 6.30 and officially ended around 9.15..itu pun after few series of shaking hands-kissing cheeks of good bye,but then we continue to sit back and continue..so funny..we already closed the majlis around 7.30, but we continued to talk while eating nana's mee ladna, kak yati's round-vege's crisp, kak yus's roll sardines and not to forget ella's beautiful apple slices..hihi

ok2..enough mention about food for our body..now, i want talk about food for our soul
i will quote in bahasa because we talked in bahasa last night..hihi
as the title posted above, our discussion last night was about yakin, tawakal and redha

"bercakap tentang Yakin, Yakin tidak akan berlaku walau ada sekelumit syak di hati kita. yakin dan syak itu bagaikan langit dan bumi perbandingannya. sebesar zarah syak, maka hapuslah keyakinan yang kita cuba bina. oleh itu, kita wajib bersangka baik dan membuang syak prasangka kepada Allah SWT.

Apabila hati kita sudah yakin, dan kita berusaha sehingga sedaya mana yang kita mampu, barulah kita layak untuk bertawakal, iaitu berserah diri sepenuhnya kepada Allah selepas menjalankan tindakan yang sewajarnya..dan selepas berserah, kita perlu redha sepenuhnya sebagaimana tuntutan rukun iman iaitu percaya kepada qada' dan qadar. sekiranya, Allah kabulkan semua yang kita minta, maka wajiblah kita bersyukur..seperti firman Allah:

Dan (ingatlah juga), tatkala Tuhanmu memaklumkan, "sesungguhnya jika kamu bersyukur, pasti Kami akan menambah (nikmat) kepadamu, dan jika kamu mengingkari (nikmat-Ku), maka sesungguhnya azab-Ku sangat pedih." [Ibrahim:7]

dan sekiranya, segala usaha,yakin, tawakal dan redha kita tidak berhasil, maksudnya, kita tidak mendapat apa yang kita mahukan, jangan sekali-kali timbul perasaan syak wasangka
benarkan Allah itu Ar-Razak?
benarkan Allah itu Ar- Rahman?
Nauzubillahi minzalik..jangan lah timbul perasaan syak itu
kerana itu bermakna rezeki dan hak kita tiada di situ
dan apa hak kita untuk menyoal Pencipta dan Pemberi Rezeki kita?
oleh itu, yakin lah bahawa Allah itu Maha Adil"

ok..ok..as a 4th year statistics student, i should hv said so long time ago
hihi..but better late than never huh..
its all begin today..yes today
not because of my 'tengku'
it is my lecturer, harold (well..he is Phd holder, but here in NZ we address everyone just with their name..mcm kawan2 gitu..which was weird for me when i was new here)

but i think, this is big enough to open my eyes..and open my mind

the title was taken from asma's status in ym at the moment this post is typed..
nana is coming back from home already..the 3 girls have moved in to the new crib
alhamdulillah..everything's great now...

so today...kak yati and family(abg zaidi, cutey nazlaa and chicky naurah), lan,ella,kak syira, kak han, diana, asma, nana and me were having sooooooo much fun with snow at the whakapapa village (i remmbered iylia or rahmat accused me of saying such a bad word during our sweet,memorable autumn 2006 trip..well..wh is pronounced as"f" here in new zealand..haiya..ape la u guyss)

we left our homely hamilton around 6.50...a bit late from the promised time that is 6.30..hihi..well..malaysian is always malaysian rite..no offence =p
we arrive the whakapapa village around 11.00, when all the empty-stomach-from-the-early-morning- are singing the hungry-mungry song
after we isi tangki with the spaghetti, bihun goreng and nasi goreng, we went to the whakapapa information center (was it, guys?) and the lady told us we are not advised to go up due to the fact of bad weather..disappointedly, we went down to the golf course and guess what..its snowyyyyy!!

well..its gonna be my last winter in New Zealand and I tell you what..it was the best snowwy day i ever had..

'great' weather + awesome accompany + good food = perfect

with the name of Allah, the Most Graciuos, the Most Merciful finally..i am writing something here.it takes too much courage to start it

today is the first day of my second@final semester in Waikato Uni insyaAllah so basically, lectures just gave us course outlines, notes etcsaangat banyak =( . i have like 6 projects, plus assignments, presentation..pheww..

anyways, that's not the highlight story of the day

diana,asma n me just came back from auckland at about 4am in the morning. it was all started yesterday..em not yesterday..it was on saturday night..when nana called me thru ym and told me she's going home on Monday..I was like 'termembatukan diri' for 15 secs..his father is sick and she wanted to see him..well..that was that..

then,on sunday nite around 7.oopm or so, we(the charlie's angels =p) hv got a text from kak eli

"korang kat mane?ade hal nak bincang ni. ade kecemasan"

again, my heart was like..em undescribeable..and of course the beat was harder..kak gee's mother is sick and she wanted to go back as soon as she can..asma managed to find the 3am royal brunei tix and we decided to drive kak gee to auckland airport..i think this is the most stressfull part, where we have to drive with the stupid-kabus-dalam-kete-yang-takmo-ilang2, well what do u expect when the outside temp is like 7 or 9'C..and our released heat is about 37'C (isit?)..plus..the foggy wholly molly kick a molly worsen the situation..mcm nak nangis je taw time drive tu..kan asma kan?hihi..and alhamdulillah we arrived auckland international airport around 12am..and then we drove down to auckland city to meet nana..finally..around 2am we drove back to hamilton..and arrived around 4.00 am

and then,here i am, typing like a zombie..the journey was tiring yet i felt so much relieved. that was the least thing we could help..this happens when all your families and relatives are thousand miles away from you..and the only thing that could do this kind of thing is your FRIENDS..

to nana and kak gee, all of us will pray hard. may your parents will get well soon. cepat2 balik hamilton k
