The Short and Sweet Escape 1 (Part 2)

Assalamualaikum people

The view form our suite in the morning :)

We woke up to have the kinda Chinese breakfast in the hotel cafe. I just had toast and cereal, enough to start off the day. First thing to be done, was buying jeruk for my craving sister. Haha. So early in the morning, we walked in midst of city to find this:

It was awak-boleh-rasa-semua-yang-ada thingy. So we did. Hahaha. I felt bloated afterwards. Like seriously. I am the wild fan of jeruk kot. But not jeruk bawang putih.
A BIG NO.

Next, we off to Penang Hill as someone was being so jakun to go up there. Yup, me. Haha.

Along suggested us to go up early in the morning so that the fluffy clouds and fog were still there. It was a bit chilly up there.

Since our life motto is NO PRESSURE , so we just drove in to Butterworth. And lastly, back to Georgetown, before we headed to the giant Queensbay Mall for a proper lunch and charging phone purpose. Haha. It was raining heavily so we just had our lunch calmly in our own sweet little time.

Around 4, we headed to the airport as the flight was at 6.40p.m. Yusma was being so sweet to come down to the airport all the way from Butterworth to meet us, even only for few minutes. Thank you Kakak Yusma Hanim. I really appreciate time little time spent. We had good laugh, the one we always had back in Kampung Palmy. The only difference is, now I came with my other half :)

Well basically, thats how we spent our 36 hours together in Penang.
Its time to go home.
Satisfied and contented we are.
All praises to Allah for giving us chance to explore more of His Creation.
Dear husband, lets count down to the next one insyaAllah.
June, please come fast <3 font="">

Aprilicious 2014

Assalamualaikum people. It has been almost four months since the last post. Life has been easier, and of course tougher due to stuff at work. Being me, it took me quite some time to blend in a new place. May Allah eases everything and I take it as a challenge to myself. I have been too pampered in my comfort zone so yeah. Before I forgot, I would love to jot down few things that happened within this four months of my new adventure of life - as a wife, as a daughter, as a new teacher and as a normal human being. January 1. On the very first day of the year, we had challenged ourselves to go on hiking up to Bukit Tabur. Well, we did not plan that. We just wanted to joinour photographer friend, Syib to take pictures of the new year. He did not tell us the height and the condition of the peak though. Put the blame on us, who were too lazy to google up and read something about it. We were like, emm sounds as easy as Broga Hill, so why not? So yeah, we woke up at 2.30 a.m and met Syib and an...

Cikgu Elun?

Assalamualaikum The kid:what is rumah panjang, kak elun? Me: err..its like a row of houses..long houses..where more than 40 families live under the same roof..but then they have divider for each house..we can find it in Sabah or Sarawak, but not in Semenanjung The kid: What is Sabah, kak elun? *cane nk jawab ek* Me:err..its ok..one day, I will bring the Malaysia map and we will learn some places in Malaysia, ok? Well, that was part of the conversation we had today. I have to teach Bahasa Melayu to this eight year old kid. I would say his mother tongue is New Zealand English because he was born here, in Kiwi land. Since then, he went back to Malaysia just for a few times. So, it is understandable if he could not speak malay as the other malay kids at his age.Its quite fun though, because usually you learn english and have to translate it to malay in order to make you understand. But, in this situation, I have to translate the Malay word to the English word. Its like the other way around...

5 things I do remember about my past Ramadhans

Assalamualaikum people Ramadhan 1425 @ October 2005 1. The kind hearted mix Maori-Pakeha makcik Dewan Makan would make my food ready for both breaking fast and sahur. 2. Sometimes, Kak Lane would fetch me at hostel and she would cook great dishes and we ate together with Syed as well 3. If there was no invitation from Kak Lane, Syed, Abg Ziad or Kak Pica, yes, I would sahur, buka puasa and terawih alone..yes people, alone, in Room 48 of Moginie Hall 4. I hardly cried because I was counting days to go home on the 5 th of Syawal, right after my final exams. Yes, we did have exams on Hari Raya Pertama. 5. It was hard and quite challenging as people around you did not fast. Not many Moslems around, Malaysians laaaagi la takde. But, Alhamdulillah, it was such a beautiful memory and hey, I did survived! Ramadhan 1426 @ October 2006 1. I was not alone anymore!!! There were 8 of us berbuka puasa bersama –...
