The 30th September 2012

The 30th September
We love 15 so much that we decided to have the Lipis reception 15 days after our nikah day. So, on the 29th September, the first 2 cars – Triton with ambok umi and cik dalek – City with Ica zahdah and yours truly, started the journey to Bibik’s house in Bangi. My husband was from Kuantan, so we decided just to meet there in Bangi. Before slept, Radiah managed to put on some henna on my hands. Anyway, next morning, we were all set to Kuala Lipis for the first time except for my husband of course. We led the convoy and we had to drive very slowly as there were 5 cars altogether.

Again, I hate the nervous feeling and I tell you what, this time was even worse. Haha. I know I should not feel this way but even my 2-weeks-old-husband can read it straight away from my face. He asked me to chill and relax as this time, the people would not be as many as our first reception.

Honestly, I was nervous as I would be meeting all his family members and relatives. As a person who likes to think about useless things so much, that was quite scary. Plus, I would be left alone by my family here in Lipis. Sob sob. Since I went home in 2008, I was always stuck with them, but now, I would be here without them. Can you see how mengada I am?

However, Alhamdulillah, the warm welcome of the husband’s family, which is now my family too, changed everything. We went to the hall at 1 and again, I still did not eat. Haha. Now I felt how rugi I was not to eat all those special made food for bride and groom. We did not have the bersanding ceremony here so it was a quick reception. Around 2 plus, my family members were ready to go back. Well, I did not feel sad as what I had thought. Haha. After sending them off, we continued to entertain the guests.

Again, thank you so much for those who were there on our second reception.
Around 3 plus, the reception was officially over. Here came the most anticipating part – the outdoor photography session. We did not have our outdoor session in Johor due to time consuming, so Alhamdulillah we got slightly longer time for that here in Lipis.

Firstly, we were brought to a railway. I would say the view is spectacular. I did not know that I still feel shy to look at my husband’s eyes when we were told to do so by the 2 photographers, Fadhli and Afrozaini. Haha.

Suddenly my husband came out with kinda crazy idea, that was taking pictures in the middle of the Kuala Lipis town. I did not mind as I was very sure the locals did not know me so yeah I agreed. We took photo at the stone that I really like (the Kuala Lipis 0 km stone) . We also got a perfect picture in the middle of the road, which was taken in less than 10 second. We had to wait for the road to be cleared from any cars,  so yeah, I had to run a bit with my heels and gown. Nevertheless, we had so much fun!

The best part was when the locals keep saying hye and waving their hands, wishing us congratulations even they did not even know us. One Indian uncle also told my husband to take care of me very well and we were touched by that. See, more people are praying for us! Alhamdullillah. Taking pictures in the middle of the town was not a bad idea at all, my dear husband! I extremely love it =)

We went home around 6 plus. For the first time, we had our dinner together that night. All of us were there. Abah, Mak, Along, Kaklong, Abede, Ateh, Adik and of course Damia. Abah kinda gave a short and sweet speech welcoming me to the family and asked Abede to recite doa. I really, really feel blessed and grateful at that very moment. Alhamdulillah and I could not thank more.

Welcome to the Wan Zainudin’s family, Kak Ngah! =D

To all those suffering from sadness or depression

Taken from Lufti's status, which I found very meaningful: ‎"To all those suffering from sadness or depression,  know that it isn't your fault.  It isn't because you're weak.  It isn't because you're just not grateful enough.  It isn't because you're just not religious enough.  It isn't because you don't have enough faith.  It isn't because God is angry with you.  To all the well-meaning people who tell you this, just smile.  And know deep in your heart that the tests of God come in different forms to different people. And know that, by the help of God, every test can become a tool to get closer to Him.  And that, verily, with hardship come ease–and like all things of this world–this too shall pass."
