Assalamualaikum people
My goal this is year is to write more InsyaAllah.
So here I am again.
Today was another amazing day for me.
Alhamdulillah

1. We had our Annual Cross Country today so I had to punch in around 7.00 a.m. Today, one of my student's mom came and met me. She handed me a pack of homemade bihun goreng which was still warm, as an indicator that she was just prepared it this morning and, and asked me to eat. For some people, it might mean nothing, but for me, it was a BIG thing. It was not only the homemade, packed food, it was the thought that counted. Thanks for putting up a smile on my face early in the morning. Semoga Allah murahkan rezeki puan dan keluarga and boleh prepare packed food for me again kihkihkih

2. On my way back home, the husband sent me a picture showing the offer letter. Yup. The offer letter from PETRONAS that secures a place for the husband, based in KL. Like I have been tweeting, this is just a kickoff of something great and new. And insyaAllah may Allah ease every single thing for us. Pray for us, people =D . For the time being, he is going alone. Once everything is settled, and things run smoothly, I will join him insyaAllah. Hellooooo E-Gtukar! Hikhik

3. Today is Ijat's birthday too. And I am happy to receive the news of Nina pregnancy. Congratulations you both! May Allah ease everything and Ijat, please take a great care of Nina. Well, I know you will insyaAllah.

4. Umi asked to join her to Masjid as they were reciting Yassin and Tahlil for the late Furoda. It was not easy for me to watch their daughters Radiah, Masir and Ila, crying over while reciting Yassin. I was imagining myself being in their places. Losing mother is the last thing we want in this world. Yet, we have to be prepared. Huhu. Semoga arwah tergolong dalam golongan beriman. Amin.

Stay positive and double your prayer, Elun!

Assalamualaikum people. It has been almost four months since the last post. Life has been easier, and of course tougher due to stuff at work. Being me, it took me quite some time to blend in a new place. May Allah eases everything and I take it as a challenge to myself. I have been too pampered in my comfort zone so yeah. Before I forgot, I would love to jot down few things that happened within this four months of my new adventure of life - as a wife, as a daughter, as a new teacher and as a normal human being. January 1. On the very first day of the year, we had challenged ourselves to go on hiking up to Bukit Tabur. Well, we did not plan that. We just wanted to joinour photographer friend, Syib to take pictures of the new year. He did not tell us the height and the condition of the peak though. Put the blame on us, who were too lazy to google up and read something about it. We were like, emm sounds as easy as Broga Hill, so why not? So yeah, we woke up at 2.30 a.m and met Syib and an...

Cikgu Elun?

Assalamualaikum The kid:what is rumah panjang, kak elun? Me: err..its like a row of houses..long houses..where more than 40 families live under the same roof..but then they have divider for each house..we can find it in Sabah or Sarawak, but not in Semenanjung The kid: What is Sabah, kak elun? *cane nk jawab ek* Me:err..its ok..one day, I will bring the Malaysia map and we will learn some places in Malaysia, ok? Well, that was part of the conversation we had today. I have to teach Bahasa Melayu to this eight year old kid. I would say his mother tongue is New Zealand English because he was born here, in Kiwi land. Since then, he went back to Malaysia just for a few times. So, it is understandable if he could not speak malay as the other malay kids at his age.Its quite fun though, because usually you learn english and have to translate it to malay in order to make you understand. But, in this situation, I have to translate the Malay word to the English word. Its like the other way around...

5 things I do remember about my past Ramadhans

Assalamualaikum people Ramadhan 1425 @ October 2005 1. The kind hearted mix Maori-Pakeha makcik Dewan Makan would make my food ready for both breaking fast and sahur. 2. Sometimes, Kak Lane would fetch me at hostel and she would cook great dishes and we ate together with Syed as well 3. If there was no invitation from Kak Lane, Syed, Abg Ziad or Kak Pica, yes, I would sahur, buka puasa and terawih alone..yes people, alone, in Room 48 of Moginie Hall 4. I hardly cried because I was counting days to go home on the 5 th of Syawal, right after my final exams. Yes, we did have exams on Hari Raya Pertama. 5. It was hard and quite challenging as people around you did not fast. Not many Moslems around, Malaysians laaaagi la takde. But, Alhamdulillah, it was such a beautiful memory and hey, I did survived! Ramadhan 1426 @ October 2006 1. I was not alone anymore!!! There were 8 of us berbuka puasa bersama –...
